The only place to download the old Windows Movie Maker app is from third party websites. These are not coming from an official source and may have malware, spyware, or viruses added in.

Just leave it in the past and use a program that is still being supported by its developer. Instead, there is a new Microsoft program called Video Editor that is located in the Photos app.

Any image that can be uploaded to the Photos application can be used in the Video Editor. All videos are created as an mp4 file. The app does everything I need it to do, plus more. If you do not buy a subscription, some features are limited, as well as having their watermark on your projects. What makes this app more of a wonderful experience is having the communication with the developer when questions arise.

I've had great responses in a timely manner. I didn't have to step away from my project long before help arrived in my email box. They also have a one time cost for much more money, but I'd rather have more experience with this app before I make such a commitment.

The app is worth the price so far!! If there are any cons, it would have to be the viewing while editing. You are able to choose the format of your project , In the smaller frames, it is hard to see your edits - while editing.

You have to choose the wide screen toggle to review your edit in bigger screen once edit is complete. So you have to hop around a bit, other than that I absolutely love what this app has to offer! But like I said it is not free and I would like it to become free for everyone.

I am not saying I do not like this app. This goes with music too.
