Vuse file not downloading

I would like to seek answer on issues regarding vuze. It used to be working well with downloading movies then suddenly stopped. The health status of my torrents state that Im not connected to any peers while the tracker status is ok, the seeds and peers were good. The TCP listen port was also invalid, saying that it is used by other application.

I turned off the firewall protection and had another installation of vuze in default setting. I also tried other bit torrents but the issue was still the same.

Kindly tell me what went wrong and what are the possibly solution to this problem. Share Flag. All Answers. Look to see if there are any error status messages against trackers. Here's also some information on what is a good torrent and a bad torrent. Check the seeds and peers in the swarm. OK, there appear to be lots of seeds, why am I not connected to any of them?

A good way to get a feel for the swarm is to go to the peers view - this shows you details of all the peers you are connected to in the swarm and you can use it to see if other peers are successfully downloading while you are not.

If you see lots of peers with an availability that is the same as your availability then it means that the swarm is somewhat choked, perhaps due to a superseed. If everyone is stuck at the same availability and not downloading, and there appear to be a lot of seeds that are not sending anyone any data, then the download is likely bad.

Another indication of a poisoned torrent can be when you see a number of peers with similar IP addresses - that is they share a common prefix.

Generally swarms will have a random distribution of IP addresses, so if you see 4 peers with an address that starts with It is quite possible with a "new" torrent or one with "small" swarm only a few peers , that the missing pieces are not available. So, it is quite possible that torrent remains active with "downloading" status, but is not actively downloading anything as there is nobody to download from. As there is no central server, your download speed is directly dependent on uploads from others.

The torrent's downloaders' total download speed matches the total upload speed. In general, your download speed corresponds a lot to your upload speed.

The downloaded files can be really big. So the download can easily take hours or days with the biggest files. So it might be that there is not much to do in this case. Downloading as fast as your connection allows requires good settings based on the upload speed of your Internet connection.
